And now for something . . . a little bit different!
Not only our first Brazilian to feature on Funk and Filth, but also edging slightly away from our comfort zone of breaks, dubstep and drum n bass, towards the electro house sound. But fear not, the basslines are JUST AS FAT, and the beats are RIDICULOUSLY TIGHT!
Darth & Vader started out as a duo a few years ago, but now it is just the one Brazilian badboy, Hugo Castellan, rocking the Americas with his funky, filthy bass sounds! Fresh tracks, remixes and killer sets, you can tell from the complex array of frankly stupidly good basslines that Hugo has learnt and applied a hell of a lot of different techniques to get to his current level of beatsmithing!
Check out the latest free mix below, which spans all the different bassline genres - dubstep, breaks, glitch, and of course some trademark electro house - and also make sure you check out the Darth and Vader remix of Freefire by Dataloss, the tune that really propelled D&V into the limelight a couple of years ago! The best version of this track is REL1's re-rub, which can be heard as the last track of his awesome mix below!
Get stuck in and (I'm so, so sorry for this) may the force be with you!
